Birth Doula

As your birth doula, I offer compassionate, continuous support through pregnancy, labor, and birth—holding space for your voice, your choices, and your unique journey. My role is to walk alongside you with steadiness and care, offering emotional support, physical comfort measures, evidence-based information, and a calm, grounded presence.

Whether you're birthing at home, in a hospital, or a birth center, I’m here to help you feel empowered, seen, and supported every step of the way. Birth is not just a physical event—it’s a profound rite of passage—and it’s my honor to help you meet it with confidence, clarity, and connection.

Birth Doula Package

First Prenatal

At our first prenatal appointment, I’ll meet with you and your birth partner in a location of your choosing, ideally between 18 and 22 weeks of pregnancy. This visit is a time for us to connect, explore your hopes and preferences for birth, and clarify my role in supporting you. I’ll offer helpful resources and can suggest questions to bring to your care providers, if desired. This session can last up to 1.5 hours. A signed contract and a $500 retainer fee are due before this appointment to ensure my on-call availability beginning at 38 weeks.

Second Prenatal

Our second prenatal appointment will take place between 32 and 36 weeks of pregnancy. We’ll review your birth plan, explore comfort and relaxation techniques, and talk through how I can best support you and your partner during labor. I’ll also share tools to help you prepare physically, mentally, and emotionally for the birth experience. This visit can also last up to 1.5 hours.

On Call

I’ll be on call for you starting at 38 weeks and available day or night once active labor begins.

Birth

I will stay with you continuously throughout labor and delivery, offering physical, emotional, and informational support. After your baby is born, I’ll remain with you until you feel settled and supported. In the rare case of an emergency on my end, a trusted backup doula will be provided.

Postpartum

Within the first month postpartum, I’ll visit you at home to check in, offer support, and hold space for you to process your birth experience. We’ll talk through any questions or emotions that may be present, and I’ll bring a calm, compassionate presence to this tender time of transition.

Birth Doula Angela Vale supports a woman having a water birth home birth

“One of the most amazing things about giving birth is how it simultaneously exposes a woman's greatest power and her greatest vulnerability. She is a source of strength in equal measure to her need of support. This is the awesome paradox of birth.”

Since this is such an intimate journey, it’s important that we feel a genuine connection.

I’d love to offer a free, two-way interview to get to know each other better!

Holistic support

"Feel free to talk to the plants. They understand."

As part of your care, I offer holistic support that nurtures both your body and mind—creating space for you to connect more deeply with yourself and your baby.

Our time together can include simple embodiment practices, grounding breathwork, affirmations, guided meditations, and expressive art activities designed to ease stress, build self-trust, and cultivate a positive, empowered mindset for birth.

These practices can be especially supportive if you're feeling anxious or overwhelmed, offering you tools to stay centered, present, and attuned to your inner wisdom throughout your pregnancy and into labor.
